Geertjan Wielenga - from the NetBeans team at Sun Microsystems
Technical writer at Sun Microsystems, Geertjan Wielenga, has been with the company for 4 years. His main focus is documentation and development of plugins for NetBeans and for applications based on the NetBeans Platform. In that context, he's been involved in creating support for frameworks such as Tapestry and Wicket, both through providing documentation, supporting the framework community, and in contributing code. He has found that the NetBeans API allowing tooling-plugins for frameworks to be very intuitive and powerful, and has traveled widely passing that message to framework communities.

Prior to working at Sun Microsystems, he worked as a Technical Writer for Compuware in Amsterdam, Coca-Cola in Vienna, Seagull Software in Rotterdam and Supernova in Utrecht. Throughout his 10-year technical writing career, he has been at the hub of a variety of IDE development products.
