Arnaud Heritier - OCTO Technology

|
As a developer, architect and team lead, Arnaud Heritier has always been involved on big projects for renowned French companies.
Working on the development of those applications, he was confronted with finding the best compromise to provide quality developments while still bringing simplicity of use and productivity to the developers building the solutions. One of the weakest points he encountered was the build system: hard to automate properly and costly to maintain. That's why he got interested in and joined the Apache Maven project in April 2004 to bring stable, automatable and efficient build sytems to the masses. Thanks to outstanding achievements, he got invited to become a member of the Project Management Committee in June 2005.
At OCTO Technology, a French Consultancy focusing on Software Architecture and agile methodologies where Arnaud is Architect, he is currently involved on projects developed in Grails, in an important investment banking institution. Always with the desire to provide an efficient build process, Arnaud is integrating Grails and Maven in an enterprise environment.
